Welcome to World Oil Map. By accessing or using our interactive web platform, spatial tools, and associated services (provided by Roque Leal at no cost), you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using this Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, as well as our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the platform.

2. Use of Platform & Open Data Attribution

World Oil Map is an open-source Location Intelligence platform for the energy sector. Spatial layers, infrastructure data, and macroeconomic series are integrated from public sources (such as OGIM under Creative Commons CC BY 4.0, EIA, and official market feeds). You are permitted to view, explore, and analyze the data for educational, professional, and informational purposes, provided proper attribution is maintained.

3. User-Generated Content & KML File Uploads

Our spatial tools allow users to upload, render, and archive custom geospatial files (such as KML and XML formats). When uploading content, you agree to the following conditions:

• Lawful Use: You will not upload files containing malicious scripts, unauthorized copyrighted material, export-restricted data, or confidential industrial secrets.
• Storage & Processing: Uploaded files are securely processed and stored via cloud infrastructure (Vercel Blob) solely to render them within your browser session and provide spatial indexing.
• User Liability: You retain full ownership and responsibility for any data or coordinates you upload. We reserve the right to remove or purge corrupted, malicious, or non-compliant files without notice.

4. Intellectual Property

The source code, UI/UX design, custom cartographic configurations, and proprietary styling of World Oil Map are developed by Roque Leal. Third-party logos, trademarked oil benchmarks, and map tiles remain the intellectual property of their respective owners (e.g., Mapbox).

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that geospatial coordinates, asset boundaries, oil prices, or EIA statistical reports are completely error-free or uninterrupted in real time.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Roque Leal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues arising out of your use or inability to use the platform, map layers, or uploaded spatial files.

7. Third-Party Links & Tools

Our platform contains integrations and links to third-party services (such as Mapbox, Google AdSense, Firebase, and GitHub). We assume no responsibility or liability for the content, privacy policies, or reliability of any third-party websites or services.

8. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of World Oil Map after any revisions indicates your acceptance of the updated terms.
